![]() ![]() ![]() When you do that it's hard to find your way back to reality, so I felt very strange when I finished the book (didn't take me long as I just could not put it down). You need an open mind and to just let yourself fall into the fantasy of the story. ![]() It's so different from anything I've ever read I can see why some people were so uncomfortable with it as it does veer off from the usual style of a novel. JDATE is ludicrous and surprising, and full of ideas I wish I'd thought of first, and it has a relaxed tone to the narrative so it's very easy to just slip into it like an old friend is telling you a story. When people ask me what my favourite book is, my default answer is always "John Dies At the End, have you heard of it?" I am evangelical about Wong's work. ![]()
